Although Dear Indugu officially ended in late 2014, a couple of our members are still active in music. You can follow our projects here -
Dear Indugu’s lead singer Jesse Strickman and frequent guest vocalist Leiya Mahoney, launched Willow Steps, a harmony heavy guy/girl indie folk duo. They’ve released two EP’s, several music videos, and toured the West Coast. Watch their videos and more at WillowSteps.com
DI’s lead guitarist and former bassist, Van Jackson-Weaver joined songwriter Hamilton Ulmer in the experimental pop band Makeunder. They wrestle diverse tastes – from Renaissance motet, to art rock, to 90′s R&B, synth pop, soul, & modern orchestral music – into powerful songs about death, survival, migration, & loss. Here’s a big thank you to our friends, fans, and supporters. For nine years we had a hell of a go at it. Countless shows later, here we are left with the memories and appreciation of all the people who came together around this band. It was an honor to make music for you.
We still have Dear Indugu shirts, CD’s, pins, and stickers for free or by donation so don’t hesitate to drop Jesse a line at DearIndugu@gmail.com if you’d like anything. You can stream us on SoundCloud or BandCamp, and watch music videos on our YouTube channel with even more on the videos page of this site.
Keep supporting local music. Thanks for everything!
